The Global Partners Academic Year Program (AYP) offers high-school aged international students the opportunity to live and study in North America for one
semester or a school year. Students typically arrive at the end of August and are placed with the other AYP students in a four-week Intensive English
Program (IEP) and Homestay designed to help prepare them for the challenge of using English academically and socially. After the IEP, students transfer
to the community where they will attend high school, beginning their classes in September and returning to their home countries at the beginning of
July of the following year. The deadline for AYP applications is April 15th. For application information and eligibility requirements, please contact
Global Partners directly.

Testimonial written by Teppei Kokubu:
"Hello! My name is Teppei. I'm 17 years old. Three months have passed since I came to Canada to live. I'm having fun with my school and my host family.
I have an ESL teacher who is also my coordinator. Recently, I went to a Hallowe'en Dance Party at my school. It was so fun! I danced for four hours
non-stop! I was so tired but I had a good time. Canada is a good and beautiful place. You can ski or snow-board in winter or ride in a canoe in summer.
Canada is also a safe place. You should come to Canada!"

A letter written by Anton Ulanov:
"Hello! How is everything going? I really like staying in Canada much better than the USA. It's probably because I know English better now than before.
Everything is going just fine for me. I am living on a farm and it is much more fun than I thought it would be. I really like my town and school. The
people here are so nice and my school work is pretty good."
