GPI SCHOLARSHIP

GPI is thrilled to offer scholarships for qualified North American students who wish to study in JAPAN!!

Criteria are the same as the exchange program with the following additional requirements:

• Sending school will accept a Japanese student in exchange for NO tuition for 10 months (even if student goes outbound for only 3 or 5 months)
• Recommendation letter from teacher/principal
• Involvement in sports or extra curricular activities (community service)
• GPI will cover costs associated with flight, travel/medical insurance, orientation, visa processing in Japan, host school and host family placement
• We strongly encourage families to voluntarily host a Japanese student in order to make the exchange reciprocal
• Hosting can be at the same time that their son/daughter is abroad or before/after
  

All fees are paid with the following exceptions:

• All domestic transportation costs in Japan
• Fees associated with obtaining Student visa in North America
• Incidental and spending money
• Texts and school uniform (if needed)
• Tutoring that may be required while in Japan
