GPI Board of Directors

Global Partners Institute was founded in 1992 by a group of individuals whose common interests in international education and global friendships brought them together to form our organization. These individuals became officers of the corporation and currently sit on our Board of Directors.

The members of our Board of Directors are:

Dr. Frank L. Ellsworth President / Chairman
Dr. Ellsworth is the former President of Pitzer College, a member of the Claremont Colleges, and former President of Japan Society, New York City. In additional to his involvement with Global Parnters, he sits on the Board of Directors of Give 2 Asia and the Friends of the National Portrait Gallery (London).
Mr. Masaru Kurahashi Vice President / Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Kurahashi is the President of International Student Advisors (ISA) in Japan, and sits on the Board of Directors of Japan Foundation for International Education (JFIE).
Mr. Chris Snell Secretary
Mr. Snell owns a successful architectural firm in Seattle, Washington.
Mrs. Hiroko Kurahashi Officer
Mrs. Kurahashi works at International Student Advisors (ISA) in Japan and is an art enthusiast and an accomplished artist.
Ms. Rebeca Barron Officer
Ms. Barron is founder of The Barron Collection Ltd, which has showrooms in Seattle and San Francisco.
