Pictured above are Chiaki Miyamoto, Ayuko Kakujo and Asuka Yamamoto who introduced the players of the Japanese Men's National Fastball team who played an exhibition game in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.  The students also opened the game by singing the Japanese National anthem from the pitcher's mound.

Tomomi Furuta

Kevin Gillrie, holding the fish above is the host Father of Tomomi Furuta in Edmonton who just got back from her 1st camping and fishing trip on Lessar Slave Lake in Northern Alberta.  This fish is a huge walley, most likely a record for the year at the marina.


Ayaka, Nanako, Arisa 

Pictured above (L-R) Ayaka, Nanako & Arisa along with the pilot, Craig O'Neill.  Arisa's host family (The Konkin's) sent the girls on a flight over the Calgary foothills.

Saoirse Welling

Pictured above is Saoirse Welling, one of GPI's Outbound Japan students from Edmonton.  She has spent the last semester in Okazaki, near Nagoya and returned home on June 28th.

Helen Lee


Pictured above is Helen Lee and her host mom. Helen is also one of GPI's Outbound Japan students from Abbotsford, BC.  Helen spent 5 months in Kyoto and returned home June 21st.
