Program Staff
Neil Hosler, Northern Alberta
Regional Manager
Neil
joined Global Partners Institute as Northern Alberta
Regional Manager in January, 2006. He enjoys working with
teens from all backgrounds and lifestyles and has been an integral part of the lives of many youth since embarking a
career in youth work in 1987. Neil and his family have also hosted more
than 20 students from
around the world in
their home since 1999. Neil
is a history buff and an outdoor enthusiast, and greatly enjoys
sharing the history of Canada
and the beauty of Alberta with his students. Neil’s
favorite part of working with GPI is the people; he loves to watch the students
grow over their year of
studying abroad,
and enjoys seeing the relationships that the students and host families develop during
their time together
blossom.
Jeannette
Eddolls, Saskatchewam Regional Manager
Jeannette is a retired
school teacher and school administrator. She has been with Global Partners
Institute since October 2003. Saskatchewan is
home for Jeannette, but she has traveled extensively within Canada, and has
done some traveling internationally, as well. She is an experienced host
parent and is able to offer support to both the international students that
come into her Province and to the families and schools that host these
students. She enjoys making connections with the young people she meets each
year, and providing them with the support information that they need in order
to make their stay in Saskatchewan
more rewarding. Jeannette takes particular joy in being able to share the
natural wonders of her home Province with her international students.
Greg Reader, Manitoba
Regional Manager
Greg grew
up in Winnipeg, but has lived in The Pas and Japan, and knows first-hand what a beautiful
province Manitoba
is and what a positive impact people from different cultures can have on our
lives. Greg’s background in marketing and education give insight into his
sincere desire to communicate positive ideas with others, and he takes pride in
being able to have an impact on the lives of the exchange students that he
works with. Before joining Global Partners Institute family, Greg lived and
worked as an EAL instructor in Chigasaki,
Japan. Free
time is spent on international travel, photography, hiking and anything new.
Cheryl Hennessey, Ontario
Regional Manager
Cheryl
has been the Ontario Regional Manager for Global Partners Institute since 2006. She enjoys working both with Inbound students who come from around the
world to study in Canada,
and with Canadian youth interested in studying overseas on GPI Outbound
Programs. Prior to joining GPI, Cheryl operated an English as a Second Language school in Toronto. She and her family have hosted many
students from all over the world. Teaching Canadian culture to the many international students that she comes
into contact with and
learning about other cultures from them is a
favourite “hobby” for
Cheryl. Cheryl enjoys canoeing in Northern
Ontario in
her spare time.
