Global Partners is committed to fostering international education and exchange. We are excited to provide young people with the unique and wonderful opportunity of receiving the educational and cultural benefits of living and studying in another country. We offer programs of 3, 5 or 10 months in duration. Students live with a volunteer host family and attend high school in their host community. Global Partners works primarily with one of the largest educational agencies in Japan. Opportunities are also available with other exchange destinations. Canadian high schools assist with this exchange program by accepting an international student and offering them the same opportunity to become a global ambassador.

• CRITERIA:
• Above average marks
• Flexible and socially/culturally adaptable person
• 15 to 17 years of age
• North American school must accept a Japanese student tuition free
• Globally minded (international interest/perspective)
• Eager to improve Japanese language and learn about Japanese culture
• Students who wish to study abroad for 10 months are required to have at least ONE year of Japanese language studies prior to departure
• Students on the 3 program do not need formal Japanese training but are required to study the language prior to departure
